The burn ointment is prepared from the following raw materials in portion by weight: 80 to 100 portions of balm, 16 to 20 portions of rehmanniae radix, 16 to 20 portions of foxglove, 16 to 20 portions of angelica, 2 to 4 portions of yellow wax and 3 to 5 portions of borneol. The preparation method of the burn ointment comprises the following steps: preparing the balm, the rehmanniae radix, the foxglove and the angelica in proportion and then putting the mixture in a copper pan; heating to boil the mixture till all medicaments do not soak out oil, and fishing out the dregs; and finally putting the yellow wax and the borneol in the decoction till dissolution.
