Abstract

The invention discloses a gateway based on MVB network and a working method thereof. The gateway comprises a main processor, an MVB protocol controller, a PXI protocol controller, an MVB network standard interface and a PXI network standard interface, wherein the main processor is respectively in bidirectional connection with the MVB protocol controller and the PXI protocol controller, the MVB protocol controller is in bidirectional connection with an MVB bus by the MVB network standard interface, and the PXI protocol controller is in bidirectional connection with the PXI bus by the PXI network standard interface. After the invention utilizes the PXI protocol controller to decode PXI data from the PXI bus, the main processor converts the PXI data into MVB data, and the MVB data is coded and sent to the MVB bus by the MVB protocol controller; and meanwhile, the reverse conversion of data can be carried out. The invention causes PXI bus equipment with abundant function and mature technology to be used by MVB bus equipment.
