In the invention, an active link is provided with M standby links as the protection so that the normal operation of a network can be guaranteed under the condition that a plurality of the links are faulted and the reliability of the network is improved; a backup port table (BPT) is configured for each SPG (Segment Protection Group); different priorities are set for the backup ports of different TESIs (Traffic Engineering Service Instances) in each BPT; each flow is switched to different backup links when the flow in the SPG is switched so as to realize the load sharing on the backup link; the BPT configured for the SPG contains the information of the TESIs protected by the SPG motor so that the protection can be carried out aiming at a group of the TESIs; and the defect that all the passing TESIs are switched when the switching is carried out during link protection is overcome so that the flexibility of the network configuration is improved.
