Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and equipment for acquiring channel state information. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring a channel quality indicators (CQI) of N sub-bands; acquiring a signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio of a sub-band corresponding to a CQI of the sub-band according to a corresponding relationship between the CQI and the signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio, wherein N is an integer of more than or equal to 2; obtaining a signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio of a wideband by utilizing the signal-to-interference-and-noise ratios of the N sub-bands, wherein the wideband consists of N sub-bands; and acquiring a CQI of the wideband corresponding to the signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio of the wideband according to the corresponding relationship between the CQI and the signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio. Due to the method, a channel information feedback party is not needed to feed back the CQI of all frequency bands, and the overhead can be saved in the process of feeding back the channel state information.
