Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determination of a state of a gearbox of a driveline of a motor vehicle at the putting into engagement of a clutch of said driveline. The method is characterised by the steps of: - establishing a first angular velocity representing the angular velocity of the gearbox input shaft; - establishing a second angular velocity representing the angular velocity of the gearbox output shaft; - determining said state of the gearbox on the basis of said first and second angular velocities; and / or the steps of: - establishing the vehicle's engine torque; - establishing an angular acceleration of the gearbox input shaft; - determining said state of the gearbox on the basis of said torque and angular acceleration. The invention relates also to a device, computer programme and computer programme product with programmes codes for improving the performance of a motor vehicle. The invention relates also to a motor vehicle which has such a device installed.
