The invention relates to a method for hiding a transmission error of eight-viewpoint free three-dimensional video, and the method provided by the invention comprises: informing an adjacent terminal of the uploading capability of each terminal at a time interval by each terminal; acquiring the adjacent terminal which owns a requested resource by a video requesting terminal through an information list of a server and acquiring the information of the terminal with high uploading capability; according to the uploading capability, and respectively receiving each viewpoint data and redundancy key data; using the terminal with high uploading capability to transmit more viewpoint data and redundancy key data; at a data sending end, performing the information source compression coding and channel error correction coding on the viewpoint data and redundancy key data which are to be sent, and then transmitting; and at the video requesting terminal, verifying the video data through the redundancy key data and hiding the error. By using the method to transmit the three-dimensional video, the use ratio of bandwidth can be efficiently increased and the deletion of video stereoscopic sense caused by abrupt error codes can be efficiently reduced.
