Embodiment Construction

[0025] figure 1 A preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention for producing security features on printed or packaged products, ie features for improving protection against counterfeiting and / or for detecting counterfeit products, is shown. The device 1 comprises at least one application nozzle 2a (or: metering head) with a nozzle opening 3a for producing fibrous or thread-like strands 4a, ie formations that are thin and flexible relative to their length. The application nozzle 2a is connected to a supply container 5 in which the material or raw material for the fibers 4a is stored and from which the application nozzle 2a is supplied with said material. The supply of the fiber material is controlled by a control device 6 which also controls the nozzle 2a, ie the discharge of the fiber material. That is, the plant 1 produces the thread 4a from the material stock 6 instead of processing or applying pre-produced thread. In other words, the device 1 is used to s...

Abstract

The method for producing security features on a printing- or packaging product, comprises producing a random pattern on a substrate through material deposition, where the material is applied as a fiber (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d), which is produced by a coating nozzle (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d). The fiber takes a random position or a random form on the substrate. The fiber is swirled on a path from the coating nozzle to the substrate by a turbulent air flow produced through an air discharge opening of the coating nozzle. The fiber is tempered through a hot air flow at a temperature higher than room temperature. Independent claims are included for: (1) a printing- or packaging product; and (2) a printing machine.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for producing security features on printed or packaged products having the features of the preamble of claim 1 . Furthermore, the invention relates to a use as claimed in claim 7 and a printed or packaged product having the features of the preamble of claim 8 . Background technique [0002] It is already known to provide printed or packaged products, such as securities and labels or packages of high-value goods, with security features which allow the authenticity of said products to be checked. Known measures are, for example, gluing three-dimensional images, so-called data matrix codes or fluorescent fibers into the substrate, which can be detected and evaluated. Such a security feature can in turn be part of cryptographic product protection by, for example, detecting a random pattern of the security feature on the part of the manufacturer, encrypting and storing its information and later likewise being detected on t...
