The invention provides a teaching experiment device for a biology tissue strip-shaped material mechanical property test, which is characterized by comprising loading equipment and a working platform, as well as a power sensor and CCD (Charge Coupled Device) measurement equipment which are both mounted on the working platform; two ends of a test specimen are respectively connected with the power sensor and the loading equipment; and positions of the CCD measurement equipment and the test specimen are matched with each other, so as to measure a deformation of the test specimen. The invention further provides a corresponding method for testing mechanical properties of a biological tissue strip-shaped material. The device and the method, provided by the invention, can achieve determination of a stress-straining curve, a relaxation curve, a creep curve and breakage intensity of the biology tissue strip-shaped material, can obviously demonstrate a principle and a method for testing the mechanical properties of the biology tissue strip-shaped material, and better meet teaching requirements of a medical physics experiment on the test to the mechanical properties of the material.
