Abstract

A flexible dual-band planar microstrip antenna comprises a first U-shaped resonator (1), a second U-shaped resonator (2), a first rectangular branch (3), a second rectangular branch (6), a first rectangular ground (4), a second rectangular ground (7), a feeder (5) of the flexible microstrip antenna and a polyimide medium plate (8). A flexible polyimide material serves as the medium plate, so that the antenna has good folding and bending characteristics. Two U-shaped quarter-wave resonators of different sizes are used for coupling, so that ultra-wind band coverage of a first band from 1 GHz to 2.5GHz is achieved on the condition that the dual-band characteristic of the antenna is kept. The two rectangular branches are symmetrically distributed on the two sides of a U-shaped irradiator, and are used for achieving coverage of a second communication band of 5.5GHz.
