Abstract

The invention discloses a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) wireless network tester and a testing method thereof. The WLAN wireless network tester comprises a data acquisition card driving module, a WinPcap packet capturing driving module, a packet capturing analysis module, an acquisition testing module, a dial testing module, an item drive testing module and a test reporting module and is provided with a bottom layer driver, an intermediate layer call library and a user interface layer, wherein the bottom layer driver is set up by sufficiently utilizing an existing WLAN driver; the intermediate layer call library directly calls a WinPcap message capturing module and a 802.11 wireless message analysis and statistics module; the user interface layer is used for carrying out testing of service performance by actual operation of testing personnel and generating a detailed test report. The invention also provides a WLAN wireless network performance testing method. The invention provides a reliable, visual and systematic tool capable of being used for carrying out testing, evaluation, verification and optimization on a complex WLAN environment for the testing personnel.
