Abstract

This invention provides a loudspeaker system which is applied in an electronic device. The loudspeaker system comprises an audio frequency amplifier, a loudspeaker, a detection resistor and a control-processing unit. The audio frequency amplifier, the loudspeaker and the detection resistor form a current loop. The audio frequency amplifier outputs voltage to the loudspeaker; the control-processing unit is electrically connected to the detection resistor and the audio frequency amplifier for detecting the voltage value of the detection resistor on real time, calculating current going through the loudspeaker and real-time output power according to the detected real time voltage value and the resistance value of the detection resistor, and comparing the real-time output power of the loudspeaker with the rated power of the loudspeaker. When the real-time output power is higher than the rated power, the control-processing unit controls the audio frequency amplifier to reduce the output voltage.
