Abstract

The invention provides an amplitude limiting method for reducing a PAPR in an OFDM system on the basis of a quantification theory and relates to the field of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing communication. The amplitude limiting method is used for solving the problem that an amplitude limiting method at present is too high in error rate. The amplitude limiting method is based on the quantification theory, a principle of the amplitude limiting method is utilized, and a plurality of quantized values are set according to amplitude differences of input signals so as to achieve the goal of amplitude limiting. The method is improved on the basis of a traditional amplitude limiting method, is simple to apply, can effectively reduce the PAPR in the OFDM system and is low in computation complexity. In addition, the quantification theory is applied to the amplitude limiting method; compared with the traditional amplitude limiting method, non-linear variations of signals are smaller, original input signals can be correctly recovered at a receiving end, and the error rate of the OFDM system can be remarkably reduced while PAPR performance reduction is guaranteed.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communication, in particular to a limiting method for reducing PAPR in an OFDM system based on quantization theory. Background technique [0002] Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing OFDM is a multi-carrier modulation technology. Its basic idea is to distribute high-speed data information streams to several sub-channels with lower transmission rates through serial / parallel conversion. Since the data information to be transmitted is distributed to each subcarrier, the duration of each symbol is greatly increased, making the symbol period of the OFDM signal longer than the multipath delay, so it has a very good ability to resist ISI. In addition, OFDM technology utilizes the time-frequency orthogonality of signals to allow partial overlap of sub-channel spectrum, which nearly doubles the spectrum utilization. Based on these advantages, OFDM technology is widely...
