The power module comprises power sub-modules connected with a reactor or a power resistor in parallel; after an anti-parallel circuit 1 and an anti-parallel circuit 2 of the power sub-modules are connected in series, the anti-parallel circuit 1 and the anti-parallel circuit 2 are connected with a damping circuit and a lightning arrester which are connected in parallel; the anti-parallel circuit 1 and the anti-parallel circuit 2 respectively comprise a device capable of being switched off and the additional diode, wherein each device is provided with an anti-parallel diode, and each additional diode is connected with the corresponding device which can be switched off and provided with the anti-parallel diode, and the cathode of the additional diode of the anti-parallel circuit 1 is connected with the cathode of the additional diode of the anti-parallel circuit 2; the additional diodes are additional diodes selected from standard recovery diodes or silicon carbide diodes.
