Abstract

A termination cap for use in a work area outlet including an end face for terminating a plurality of data lines, and the termination cap is provided with a preselected impedance sensing circuit for connecting two terminated data lines, and comprises a insulated main body portion having opposite first and second sides, wherein the first side comprises a plurality of joint members for being jointed with the end face, the joint members being arranged in different two rows spaced apart, and the second side supports a circuit substrate arranged thereon. The main body portion comprises a slot of the main body portion arranged in a hollow gap and extending between the first and second sides and a pair of conductive terminals. The circuit substrate comprises a sensing circuit of en electronic element connected to the terminal. When the termination cap is attached to the end face, the joint member is jointed with the end face and the terminal contacts with two data lines to limit the sensing circuit between the two data lines with certain impedance.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of "end caps used in cable network management systems" with application number 200980144600.2 that entered the Chinese national phase on May 09, 2011. [0002] Cross References to Related Applications [0003] This application claims priority to previously filed US Provisional Patent Application Nos. 61 / 103,487 and 61 / 103,532, filed on October 7, 2008. The contents of each of these previously filed patent applications are incorporated herein by reference in their entirety. technical field [0004] The present invention relates generally to infrastructure management systems, and more particularly to systems, components and components for managing infrastructure resources. Background technique [0005] Computing networks that exist in large institutions consist of two types of devices that must be interconnected to form a usable data network. These devices, also referred to as resources in the prior art, are generally clas...
