Abstract

The invention discloses a vehicle engine remote starting system comprising an antitheft system, a main controller, a communication interface, a first relay, a second relay, an ignition control module, a remote terminal and a server. The antitheft system is formed by an antitheft ECU, an antitheft base station and a key converter, wherein the antitheft base station, the antitheft ECU and a data line of the main controller are all connected to the relays; a power supply terminals of the relays are connected with the main controller; the communication interface and the ignition control module are both connected with the main controller; and the remote terminal is directly communicated with the communication interface or via the server. The invention further provides a starting method based on the above system. The remote terminal gives out an order to the main controller via the communication interface; the main controller is communicated with the antitheft ECU and the main controller via the relays; antitheft identification is completed via encryption algorithm and an original vehicle key ID; and at last, the engine is started.
