Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for generating video information. The method and the device belong to the field of multimedia technology. The method comprises the steps of receiving an image which is transmitted from an image sensor by an image processing module, and acquiring first receiving time of the image; acquiring a first preset receiving time of a next image frame which is preset in generating video information and is closest to current time by the image processing module; determining whether to discard the image by the image processing module according to first receiving time and first preset receiving time; and if the image is not discarded, generating video information by the image processing module according to the image and the first receiving time. The device comprises a first acquiring module, a second acquiring module, a first determining module and a generating module. The method and the device provided by the invention have advantages of realizing no requirement for image buffering, reducing resource consumption and improving time coupling property of generated video information.
