[0016] More and more computer businesses or products are being virtualized. Through virtualization, a single physical computing device, such as a single physical server, can be used to provide multiple virtual servers that share physical resources. With virtualization, hardware resources can be used more efficiently. In addition to the virtualization of computing devices such as servers, virtualization can also be applied to network components, such as switches via virtual local area network (VLAN) or virtual extended local area network (VXLAN) and via virtual routers. Forwarding (virtual routing and forwarding, VRF) is applied to routers. Supporting virtualization of network components may be advantageous from the standpoint of maximizing the use of existing hardware; however, this may introduce another layer of configuration and management requirements in order to configure the available hardware to provide the required virtual network components.
