The method comprises: obtaining an assignment mode of a task; assigning an object for a target assignment object according to the assignment mode of the task to allow the target assignment object to process the task; and assigning an object for the target assignment object according to the assignment mode of the task, wherein an assignment rule corresponding to the assignment mode is more suitable for assignment of an object for the target assignment object. When a task is assigned, an employed assignment rule has more pertinency, the problem is avoided that all tasks employ a same assignment rule to perform blind assignment in the prior art, the task assignment method and device employs the assignment mode of a task to assign the target assignment object for the task to realize automated assignment of the task and improve the assignment efficiency, and assignment is more reasonable according to the assignment mode ofthe task.
