Abstract

The invention discloses application of an FUC (fucoxanthin)-ADR (adriamycin) composition in preparing a human breast cancer treatment preparation. In the application, the FUC and the ADR of differentconcentrations are adopted for treating MCF-7 cells, and detection and observation include detecting the inhibition ratio against the MCF-7 cells by MTT colorimetry, and calculating the combination index of the two drugs; observing the morphological change of the MCF-7 cells by AO / EB staining; detecting the influence on mitochondrial membrane potential with a JC-1 kit; detecting the expression ofapoptosis-related protein in the MCF-7 cells by Western blotting; the result shows that the FUC and the ADR can inhibit the growth of tumor cells when applied respectively, and the inhibition ratio shows dose dependence; when the FUC and the ADR are combined, the inhibition ratio is obviously higher than that of single use; when the total inhibition ratio is 50-80%, the combination index (CI) is less than 1, indicating that the two drugs combined generate a relatively strong synergistic effect.
