Abstract

The application provides a method and apparatus to simulate an unconventional oil-gas forming process. The method comprises: increasing the temperature of a hydrocarbon source rock sample, placed in ageologic model cylinder of a simulating device, gradually to a target temperature via N stages, and increasing the pressure, which the top of the hydrocarbon source rock sample bears, gradually fromthe normal pressure to the target pressure via N stages, wherein in the different temperature rise and pressure rise stages, different hydrocarbon source rock samples are placed in the geologic modelcylinder and have the same properties; acquiring hydrocarbon forming parameters, which are used for evaluating the hydrocarbon forming process, corresponding to each temperature rise and pressure risestage. The method and apparatus provided herein provide better accuracy for the simulation results of the unconventional oil-gas forming process.
