Abstract

The invention discloses a data fitting-based law research method for content of rare earth elements in rare earth ore tailings. According to collected data on the change of the rare earth content along with the change of the depth, the rare earth elements retained in the tailings are analyzed by adopting a curve fitting method. Firstly, a scatter diagram is drawn according to original data, then alocal weighted linear regression algorithm is adopted for giving certain weights to all points near all to-be-predicted points, and regression is carried out on the basis of a minimum mean square deviation, so that a basic regression curve trend of the data is obtained. Then, according to the obtained basic curve trend, and in combination with a final curve obtained by a least square method, an optimal curve is obtained by minimizing a quadratic sum error, so that a retention law of the rare earth elements in the tailings is obtained.
