Abstract

The invention provides a culture method for inducing cherry tomato anthers to obtain regenerated plants. The method comprises the steps as follows: (1) selection of flower buds; (2) pretreatment of flower buds; (3) stress treatment of the flower buds; (4) induced culture of flower bud embryoid; (5) seedling strengthening and rooting culture. The embryoid is directly induced through in-vitro culture of anthers, regenerated plants are obtained through seedling strengthening and rooting culture, as compared with a conventional anther culture method that dedifferentiation is performed to form callus, then, the callus is differentiated into adventitious buds and finally regenerated plants are obtained, the method is more convenient and feasible and can avoid chromosome ploidy mixing due to participation of somatic cells in formation of callus. Microspores in anthers can be induced to develop into complete haploid or double haploid plants, multiple homozygous breeding materials can be provided for haploid breeding of cherry tomatoes, the breeding efficiency is greatly improved, the breeding process is accelerated, and the method has higher application value.
