Abstract

The invention provides a vehicle engine compartment fire extinguishing device and a fire extinguishing method thereof. The vehicle engine compartment fire extinguishing device comprises an engine cover, a central controller, a temperature sensor, a smoke sensor and a rapid dry powder spraying fire extinguishing device, wherein the rapid dry powder spraying fire extinguishing device is arranged above the engine cover and connected with a dry powder spraying guide pipe and an electric detonator detonation wire; and the temperature sensor and the smoke sensor are connected with the central controller through a temperature sensing wire and a smoke sensing wire and provide temperature data and smoke data for the central controller. The invention further provides the fire extinguishing method based on the device. Through dual detection, the central controller starts the rapid dry powder spraying fire extinguishing device, the central controller is further connected with an external power source and a manual trigger switch, and when automatic starting is not achieved, the rapid dry powder spraying fire extinguishing device is started by the manual trigger switch according to the requirements, response is rapid, the fire behavior is controlled advantageously, and loss is reduced.
