Abstract

The vehicle engine compartment fire extinguishing device comprises an engine cover, a central controller, a temperature sensor, a smoke sensor and a rapid dry powder spraying fire extinguishing device, wherein the rapid dry powder spraying fire extinguishing device is arranged above the engine cover and connected with a dry powder spraying guide pipe and an electric detonator detonation wire; and the temperature sensor and the smoke sensor are connected with the central controller through a temperature sensing wire and a smoke sensing wire and provide temperature data and smoke data for the central controller. The invention further provides the fire extinguishing method based on the device.
