Abstract

The invention discloses application of esculentoside A in reducing blood glucose. According to the application disclosed by the invention, an STZ high blood glucose mouse model is established to inspect a blood glucose reducing effect of the esculentoside on high blood glucose mice. An empty-stomach mouse gavage method is used for the esculentoside, and a tail-amputation blood taking blood glucosemeter detection method is used for blood glucose level detection. A blank control group, an esculentoside standard substance experimental group, an esculentoside extractive group in which molding andgavage are performed at the same time, a mouse high blood glucose model group and a melbine experimental group are arranged. Four indexes of weight, water intake, food intake and blood glucose levelare observed. The dosage range of the esculentoside is 0.100 mg/ml to 0.200 mg/ml. After the esculentoside is applied to gavage, the blood glucose level of the high blood glucose mice is reduced to the range between 6.7 to 10.9 from the range between 11.0 and 25.0 within 28 days; thus, a blood glucose reducing effect is obvious. Furthermore, the esculentoside can obviously improve the situations of peeing more, eating more, drinking more and less weight.
