The starting method comprises the steps of judging whether the current environment is the ultralow temperature environment; if so, outputting a specific rotational voltage vector to a driving circuit to generate reactive power in a motor to preheat a controller, the driving circuit and the motor; judging whether a preheating termination condition is met; and if so, controlling starting of the motor by the driving circuit. With the adoption of the technical scheme, a low-temperature operation range of the motor system can be extended under the condition that a hardware circuit is not added or replaced. Therefore, the product cost is lowered.
