Embodiment Construction

[0016] The following will clearly and completely describe the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings in the embodiments of the present invention. Obviously, the described embodiments are only some, not all, embodiments of the present invention. Based on the embodiments of the present invention, all other embodiments obtained by persons of ordinary skill in the art without making creative efforts belong to the protection scope of the present invention

[0017] The embodiment of the present invention discloses a reusable automotive millimeter-wave radar antenna array, which reduces the overall area of the radar system by reusing antennas in different modes. Such as figure 1 As shown, the array is a serial microstrip array in the vertical direction, and there are 8 identical serial microstrip arrays in the horizontal direction. In the transverse direction of the array, the three series microstrip antenna arra...

Abstract

The invention, which belongs to the field of automatic driving, discloses a reusable automotive millimeter-wave radar antenna array comprising a sub array with a halving power divider and two sub arrays with trisection power dividers. The two trisection sub arrays are arranged at the two sides of the halving sub array. The sub arrays are formed by longitudinally tandem micro-strip antennas and micro-strip power splitters. When the radar works in a short distance mode, the halving sub array work; when the radar works in an intermediate-distance mode, any one of the o trisection sub arrays works; and when the radar works in a long-distance mode, the three arrays work simultaneously. Switching of the three working modes of the radar is realized in the chip. The radio-frequency chip has threesame radio-frequency output terminals connected to three sub arrays respectively. Therefore, the antenna area of the whole system is reduced by reusing the antennas in an unused mode; and the size ofthe radar system is reduced obviously.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of automotive millimeter-wave radar, in particular to a range-finding radar microstrip antenna array. Background technique [0002] In recent years, since it is not affected by temperature, environment and weather conditions, the application of millimeter-wave radar in autonomous driving has received more and more attention. Whether it can achieve miniaturization, low cost, and integration with the shape of the car has become a key factor for millimeter-wave radar to compete in the autonomous driving market. [0003] At present, the automotive millimeter-wave radar system generally adopts the structure of three transmitting channels and four receiving channels. Four receiving channels are used to better obtain the angle information of the detected object. In order to detect objects at far, medium and near distances respectively, antennas with different gains are connected to the three transmitting channels. The hig...
