[0022] Example 1. Study on the correlation between SNORD16 gene and pathological parameters of colon cancer.
[0023] 1. Patients and tissue samples
[0024] This study analyzed 434 colon cancer patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. When evaluating the relationship between SNORD16 expression and clinicopathological parameters, patients with incomplete clinical data were excluded from the study, a total of 279 cases. Complete clinical information includes: patient's gender, age, TNM stage, pathological T stage, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, lymphatic invasion, venous invasion, and history of colonic polyps. In addition, 20 pairs of matched colon cancer and adjacent normal mucosal tissues were obtained from the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Cancer Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University, for the evaluation of SNORD16 expression. The ethics committee approved the use of the specimens, and informed consent was obtained from each patient....
