In use of thedevice, metal medical instruments needing to be disinfected are placed in the disinfection chamber, the door of the disinfection chamber is closed, the air compressor is started to compress air to specified density, the compressed air is introduced into a discharge area, and a disinfection switch is turned on for disinfection; after a period of disinfection, a plasma generating device stops working; and a switch of the air compressor is turned off to balance pressure inside and outside the chamber, the door is opened, and the disinfected instruments are taken out for reuse. A plasma technology is adopted in the invention to disinfect the medical instruments, and microorganisms on the medical instruments are killed through active substances in plasma and the action of a strong electric field, so the purposes of sterilization and disinfection are achieved.
