Abstract

The invention provides a hemistepta lyrata polar extract as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the field of medicines. The preparation method of the extract comprisesthe following steps: (1) taking the whole herb of the hemistepta lyrata, and performing ethanol extraction to obtain an ethanol extract; and (2) dissolving the ethanol extract prepared in the step (1) by using a solvent, and performing extraction with a polar solvent to obtain the product. The polar solvent is petroleum ether, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate or water-saturated n-butyl alcohol. Theextract has an excellent inhibition effect on gastric cancer cells, colon cancer cells and breast cancer cells, wherein an ethyl acetate extract has a remarkable inhibition effect on gastric cancer cells; dichloromethane has a remarkable inhibition effect on colon cancer cells; and a petroleum ether extract not only has a remarkable inhibition effect on breast cancer cells, but also has a good inhibition effect on gastric cancer cells and colon cancer cells, and has remarkable anti-tumor activity superior to those of other polar solvent extracts. The extract can be used for preparing anti-cancer medicines and has an excellent application prospect.
