Embodiment Construction
[0020] The present disclosure relates to ablation systems and methods of forming the same, and more particularly, to ablation catheters including force sensors and electrode tip assemblies sealed with the force sensors. Embodiments of the systems and methods disclosed herein facilitate providing an ablation catheter with force and temperature sensors sealed from an electrode tip assembly, thereby facilitating monitoring of temperature and applied force during an ablation procedure. The temperature sensor is routed through the flush piping to reduce the possibility of leaks near the force sensor that could adversely affect the force measurement. This arrangement enables a simpler and more reliable seal between the force sensor and electrode tip assembly, and also enables a reduced diameter force sensor, which reduces the likelihood of the force sensor being overstressed or strained during operation. The ablation catheters described herein also include a fluid manifold configure...
