Example Embodiment

[0016] The bandwidth allocation method for providing hierarchical services in a broadband wireless metropolitan area network. The 802.16 base station bandwidth allocation process is as follows:

[0017] Step S1: When receiving a bandwidth allocation request, first determine whether it is a request generated during the handover process or a newly generated request. If it is the former, go to step S2, otherwise, go to step S3;

[0018] Step S2: According to whether the handover request is emergency call, ordinary call, QOS data service, and ordinary data service, bandwidth is allocated in descending order of priority. If bandwidth cannot be obtained immediately, the first three requests are placed in 3 different priority queues , Waiting for bandwidth allocation; the last request is rejected immediately, the communication is interrupted, and the end;

[0019] Step S3: According to whether the newly generated request is emergency call, ordinary call, QOS data service and ordinary dat...

Abstract

The classification of service (CoS ) is made on 802.16 network. Combining the feature of 802.16 supporting QoS communication service, band width is distributed to different class service to ensure the service quality of speech communication. Different class service has different size band width and different priority. The service in high priority is permitted to occupy bandwidth used by service in low priority. Call in mobile switch process has higher priority, and is distributed bandwidth from pre-reserved bandwidth. Emergency call, switch call and switch QoS data service are set into four FIFO queues. When there is bandwidth is released, the bandwidth is distributed to service in these four queues based on different priority. When newly generated ordinary call and data service can not get bandwidth, they will be rejected to access the network.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of broadband wireless metropolitan area network (IEEE 802.16 WirelessMAN), and relates to a bandwidth allocation method for providing graded services in the 802.16 network. Background technique [0002] 802.16 WirelessMAN is a broadband network capable of providing high-speed wireless access within a metropolitan area [1] Carl Eklund, Roger B. Marks, "IEEE Standard 802.16: A Technical Overview of the WirelessMAN TM Air Interface for Broadband Wireless Access", IEEE C802.16-02 / 05, 2002. The IEEE 802.16 working group released IEEE Std 802.16-2004 on October 1, 2004. This standard defines fixed Broadband wireless access system air interface physical layer (PHY) and media access control layer (MAC) specifications [2] LAN / MAN Standards Committee, "Part 16: Air Interface for fixedBroadband Wireless Access Systems", IEEE Std 802.16 TM -2004. IEEE Std802.16e will be issued in March 2005, which defines the air int...
