The invention discloses a method for the profile control by using a polymer at an offshore oilfield polymer flooding stratum, sequentially comprising the following steps of: (1) displacing a polymer used in the offshore oilfield polymer flooding process into a stratum with a distance more than 25 meters to a borehole by pad fluid; (2) injecting the aqueous solution of a flocculating agent into the processed stratum of the offshore oilfield in the step (1) from the borehole to obtain a flocculating constituent; and (3) displacing the flocculating constituent obtained in the step (2) to a stratum with a distance of 3-5 meters to an infiltration surface by displacing liquid so as to finish the profile control.
