Abstract

The invention relates to a pilot frequency design method for an evolution system of a compatible microwave access global intercommunication WiMAX system. The method is as follows: lead codes of the WiMAX system are used as common pilot frequencies; special pilot frequencies are interpolated according to users; and different users interpolate the special pilot frequencies according to set interpolation proportions. The invention also provides a channel estimation method under the pilot frequency means. The method is as follows: firstly, each receiver utilizes the pilot frequencies to perform channel estimation on subcarrier positions which are provided with common pilot frequencies or special pilot frequencies; prediction rules of a channel in a time slice from the common pilot frequencies to the special pilot frequencies are measured and calculated by utilization of estimation results on positions which are not only provided with the common pilot frequencies but also provided with the special pilot frequencies; prediction is performed on subcarriers between every two predicted value positions by utilization of rules of the two predicted values, and channel estimation of subcarriers in an user area is obtained; or channel estimation values of the user area are predicted on subcarrier positions which are only provided with the common pilot frequencies according to the prediction rules; and channel estimation values of other subcarriers are obtained through interpolation by utilization of the predicted channel estimation values and the obtained estimation results.
