Abstract

The invention discloses a method for determining the retention rate of a fluorescent whitening agent in a pulp fiber system by utilizing an ultraviolet spectrophotometer, namely the amount of the fluorescent whitening agent in a filtrate is quantified through the ultraviolet spectrophotometer, and the retention rate of the fluorescent whitening agent in the fiber system is calculated based on a mass conservation principle. The determination method comprises the following steps of production of a standard curve, collection of the filtrate, pretreatment on the filtrate, determination of the ultraviolet spectrophotometer, determination of a blank sample, and calculation, and a determined result has smaller deviation and good reproducibility. The invention is the method with simplicity, easy operation and good reproducibility for determining the retention rate of the fluorescent whitening agent on the surface of pulp fiber.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the retention rate of the fluorescent whitening agent in the pulp fiber system, in particular to a method for measuring the retention rate of the fluorescent whitening agent in the pulp fiber system. Background technique [0002] Fluorescent whitening agent, also known as optical brightener, is an almost colorless fluorescent organic compound, which has the property of converting invisible ultraviolet light into visible light, so the treated pulp fiber will be It will emit blue or purple light, which can offset the yellow or off-white in the fiber, and play a role of complementary color, showing pure white. Since whiteness or chroma is an important quality index for evaluating pulp or paper, fluorescent whitening agents are often used in various paper products to improve the whiteness of pulp and improve the visual quality of paper products. The whitening effect of the fluorescent whitening agent mainly depends on the retentio...
