Abstract

An image forming apparatus is provided, comprising: a transport unit transporting a recording medium; a plurality of imaging units arranged to be individually retractable relative to the transport unit, the imaging units recording an image is formed on a medium; a sensing unit that senses the occurrence of a paper jam; and a reporting unit.
