The method comprises the following steps that: firstly, EPG information contained in a digital television signal and multimedia information descriptive data of Internet are collected by a multimedia collector, and the multimedia information descriptive data is saved to a database of a server through data transmission equipment; secondly, users query the data or the database of the server by keywords and a specific filtering condition at a user terminal; and finally, the server returns amultimedia data querying result acquired by retrieving the database to the user terminal, and the user terminal uses the media according to the returned media data.
