Abstract

The invention relates to a method for allotting idle channels in a radio network in the technical field of communication, which comprises the following steps: each channel owner calculates the numberof self idle channels and broadcasts the initial price of the idle channels by a common control channel; each second-level user selects the channel owner maximizing self benefits to transmit a biddingrequest; each channel owner dynamically updates the price and broadcasts the price by the common control channel; the channel auction process is not finished till a system is in a balanced state; andthe channels are allotted according to the current bidding request of each second-level user. The invention has low complexity, signaling cost saving, no information interaction among the channel owners and no information interaction among the second-level users; and when a proper price is selected for updating step length, the obtained channel allotting result approximates to global optimum.

Description

technical field

[0001] The invention relates to a method in the technical field of communication, in particular to a method for allocating idle channels in a radio network. Background technique

[0002] With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, wireless spectrum becomes an increasingly scarce resource. Cognitive radio improves spectrum utilization by allowing unlicensed users to access channels under certain restrictions. In a cognitive radio network, it is generally divided into primary users and secondary users (also called secondary users, denoted as SU). The primary user is an authorized user, who has ownership of the channel and can access the channel at any time without any interference; the secondary user is an unauthorized user, who can occupy the channel only under the condition of not causing interference to the primary user, that is, It is to opportunistically occupy channels to obtain maximum throughput. In order to improve spectrum effi...
