Abstract

A tape printer (1) capable of preventing defective cutting of a tape and ensuring satisfactory cutting even when a resin frame cutting device is used. When the cutting lever (51) is rotated, the tape printer (1) cuts the tape (36) by using the cutting mechanism unit (50). The cutting mechanism unit (50) has a cutting lever (51) rotatably supported by a lever shaft (52), a knife holder (53) provided with a knife blade (57), and a knife blade receiving member (60). Based on the rotation of the cutting bar (51 ), which moves the knife holder (53) in the cutting direction C, the knife blade (57) presses and cuts the band (36) in cooperation with the knife blade receiving member (60) . At the point where the cutter blade ( 57 ) contacts the cutter blade receiving member ( 60 ), the line segment connecting the rod axis center S and the contact protrusion tangent point T becomes perpendicular to the cutting direction C.
