Abstract

The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for measuring bio-impedance. The apparatus for measuring bio-impedance comprises the following components: a plurality of electrodes contacted with the body part of a member being measured, an input signal generation part which generates an input electric signal for measuring the bio-impedance and provides to a driving electrode in the plurality of electrodes, an impedance measuring part which measures the bio-impedance through the output electric signal output from a read-out electrode in the plurality of electrodes, and a display partfor displaying the measuring state and result. The input signal generation part comprises a modulating part which is used for modulating the signal. The impedance measuring part comprises a demodulating part which demodulates the output electric signal with a mode corresponding with the modulating part. The apparatus for measuring bio-impedance according to the invention can effectively remove the effect of the noise added in a living creature as the exerted driving signal is modulated and the output measuring signal is demodulated.
