AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows us to identify cancerous areas from Chinese patients with certain genetic variations. It uses multiple loci or variants associated with these genotypes together to make it easier than previous methods like histological analysis alone. By comparing this data between two databases containing known materials, we found out how well they were identified during treatment. Overall, our technical effect is improved accuracy and reliability when searching for targeted therapy agents within patient samples compared to existing techniques such as histology.

Problems solved by technology

This patented describes different techniques for accurately distinguishing between benign and malignancies caused by cancerous tissue origination. These include traditional histological analysis tools like microscopies, immunohistology, X ray tomography scans, xray radiographic images, ultrasonics waves, magnetic resonance imaging technologies, etc., but each technique suffers limitations including poor reproduction efficiency and potential biases introduced by variations among specific bases within the sample. There also exist challenges with interpreting the data obtained from these tests because they may be influenced by factors like age, ethnic background, family history, and previous exposure to drugs.

Embodiment 1

[0053] Example 1: The method based on the number of common loci and the number of common alleles of the Identifiler system suitable for the identification of tumor tissue origin was used to identify the origin of a gastric cancer tissue.

[0054] The specific steps are:

[0055] Step 1: Identifiler system STR typing

[0056] Gastric cancer tissues and normal blood samples of individuals participating in the identification were subjected to STR typing according to the operating instructions of the Identifiler system. The results are shown in Table 2 and figure 1 . Among them, the allelic increase of this mutation was found in the tumor tissue at D18S51, which made it impossible to identify the source of the tumor tissue with the conventional likelihood rate standard.

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of legal physical evidence, in particular to a method for identifying the source of a tumor tissue based on an Identifiler system, comprising the following steps: respectively genotyping and detecting 15 STR loci of the tumor tissue and a normal tissue Identifiler system of an object to be identified; computing the number of the shared loci and the number of the shared allelic genes of the tumor tissue and the normal tissue of the object to be identified; substituting the number of the shared loci and the number of the shared allelic genes in a discrimination function and computing corresponding function values; judging the discrimination function computation result; and identifying based on a source identification rule of the tumor tissue. The invention overcomes the bottleneck that the source of the tumor tissue can not be identified when genetype variation of the STR loci of the tumor tissue occurs at present, and can be used for source identification for the tumor tissue when genetype variation occurs in the STR loci of the tumor tissue.
