Abstract

The invention discloses material folding equipment which comprises a feeding device, a shrinking device and a withholding device, wherein, the feeding device can perform reciprocating motion axially so as to provide cylindrical materials axially; the shrinking device is matched with the reciprocating motion of the feeding device and realizes radial shrinkage of the cylindrical materials by lowering air pressure in the cylindrical materials provided by the feeding device so as to fold the cylindrical materials axially; and the withholding device is arranged around the shrinking device and is used for fixing the folded cylindrical materials. In addition, the invention further discloses a method for manufacturing the axial folded cylindrical materials. By adopting the material folding equipment and the method, the axial folded materials which are folded axially, uniformly and regularly can be manufactured.
