Embodiment Construction

[0060] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Please note that the size of constituent parts shown in the drawings differs from actual sizes for convenience of description.

[0061] [Dielectric particles encapsulating magnets]

[0062] First, the magnet-encapsulating dielectric particles P used in the detection method of the present invention will be described. Such as figure 1 A and figure 1 As shown in B, the dielectric particle P that encapsulates the magnet has one or more magnetic particles M encapsulated therein, and a functional group that exhibits polarity in the liquid sample for surface modification.

[0063] The shape of the magnetic particles M is not particularly limited, and examples of possible shapes include spherical and rod shapes. However, the particle size is preferably 100 nm or less, and if a plurality of magnetic particles M are encapsulated in the magnet-encapsulating dielectr...

Abstract

The invention relates to a detecting method and a dielectric particle containing magnetic material employed in the detecting method. In order to improve the practical utility of detection methods that utilize localization of bound substances by magnetic particles. A magnetic binding substance (Bm), which is a first binding substance (B1) that specifically binds with a target substance (A), having magnet enveloping dielectric particles (B), which have magnetic particles (M) enveloped therein and surfaces modified with functional groups that exhibit polarity within a liquid sample, attached thereto, and a labeling binding substance (B0), which is a second binding substance (B2) that specifically binds with the target substance (A) having photoresponsive labels (O) attached thereto, are mixed with the liquid sample such that binding reactions occur. A magnetic field is generated within a sample cell (10), to draw the magnetic binding substance (Bm) to a local region. Excitation light is irradiated only onto a predetermined region including the local region while the magnetic binding substance (Bm) is drawn to the local region, causing the photoresponsive labels (O) present therein to generate optical signals. The optical signals are detected.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a detection method for detecting a detection target substance in a sample. The invention also relates to magnet-encapsulating dielectric particles used in said detection method. Background technique [0002] Detection methods such as sandwich and competition methods are well known in the biometric art. In the double-antibody sandwich method, a primary antibody that specifically binds to an antigen, which is a detection target substance contained in a sample, is immobilized on the surface of a substrate. The sample is applied to the matrix so that the detection target substance is specifically bound to the primary antibody. Then, a second antibody that specifically binds to the antigen and has a fluorescent label attached thereto is bound to the antigen, thereby forming a so-called sandwich structure composed of the first antibody, the antigen, and the second antibody. Afterwards, the fluorescence emitted by the fluorescent l...
