Problems solved by technology

These techniques can reduce switching overhead, but it takes a certain amount of time to switch from the old care-of address to the new care-of address
Therefore, even with these techniques, smooth switching is still not fully achieved
Furthermore, in these techniques, since the association between the home address of the mobile communication terminal device and the care-of address has to be dynamically provided to the base station, the signal processing load in the base station is high.
Furthermore, these techniques depend on the capabilities and functions of the base station that actually performs each process of handover, thus making the structure of the base station more complicated and making the base station more expensive

Embodiment approach 1

[0079] figure 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the mobile communication terminal device 100 .

[0080] The mobile communication terminal device 100 includes m (m is an integer greater than or equal to 2) Network Access Unit (NAU: Network Access Unit) 101 , UPL (Upper Protocol Layer, upper protocol layer) 102 , and MADU (Multiple Access Decision Unit) 103 . In addition, when referring to NAU101a to 101m in general without distinguishing them individually, it is indicated only as NAU101.

[0081]The NAU 101 has a network access mechanism composed of hardware that is a physical network interface, software for controlling such hardware, and a protocol for managing communication using such hardware. For example, in the OSI (Open System Interconnection, Open System Interconnection) model of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the NAU101 includes all protocols related to the physical layer and the data link layer.

[0082] The purpose of the p...

Embodiment approach 2

[0175] The specification of each component in Embodiment 1 requires that all NAUs 101 understand and comply with the contents of the three defined interfaces. Since NAUs 101 are usually provided by different vendors or manufacturers, all NAUs 101 may not be able to understand the interface. Therefore, in Embodiment 2 of the present invention, NIT 305 , which is a dedicated translator for NAU 101 , is added to mobile communication terminal device 100 .

[0176] image 3 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the mobile communication terminal device 300 . Most of the constituent elements of the mobile communication terminal device 300 perform the same functions as those of the mobile communication terminal device 100 in the first embodiment. Therefore, components of mobile communication terminal device 300 that perform the same functions as components of mobile communication terminal device 100 are given the same reference numerals as those of mobile communicatio...

Embodiment approach 3

[0181] Figure 5 It is a block diagram showing the configuration of mobile communication terminal device 400 according to Embodiment 3 of the present invention. In the mobile communication terminal device 400, a method of hierarchically controlling MADU is adopted. In addition, most of the constituent elements of the mobile communication terminal device 400 have the same functions as the constituent elements of the mobile communication terminal device 100 in the first embodiment. Therefore, components of mobile communication terminal device 300 that perform the same functions as components of mobile communication terminal device 100 are given the same reference numerals as those of mobile communication terminal device 100 , and descriptions thereof are omitted.

[0182] The mobile communication terminal device 400 has the NAU 401 including a plurality of input channels and output channels in addition to the normal NAU 101 in the mobile communication terminal device 100 ....
