[0036] (Process for detecting recording paper)

[0037] figure 1 A procedure for detecting a recording sheet such as recording paper in the printer apparatus of the first embodiment is shown. In this embodiment and other embodiments, recording paper is taken as an example of a recording sheet on which characters, figures, and the like are printed. However, in this embodiment and other embodiments, the recording sheet is not limited to recording paper, and may be made of any other material such as plastic. refer to figure 1 , the printer device of this embodiment includes: a light-emitting element 20 configured to emit light onto the recording paper, the light-emitting element 20 is disposed on one surface side of the recording paper 10 to detect position information of the recording sheet; a first light-receiving element 30, used To receive light emitted from the light source onto the recording paper 10 and reflected by the recording paper 10, a first light receiving elemen...

[0068] (printer device)

[0069] Next, the structure of the printer apparatus of the second embodiment will be described. refer to Figure 18 and Figure 19 , the light emitting element 20 and the first light receiving element 30 are integrally formed as a reflective optical sensor 150 . The reflective optical sensor 150 is installed in a thermal head 180 which is a printing head in the head block 170 . The second light receiving element 40 is installed in the recording paper conveying block 160 . By providing the thermal head 180 with the light-emitting element 20 and the first light-receiving element 30, the detection position of the recording paper can be made as close as possible to the position of the printing part 181 that prints characters, graphics, etc. in the recording paper, thereby at the predetermined position of the recording paper Accurately print characters, graphics, etc. Figure 19 is an enlarged view of a region where the light emitting element 20 , the...

Abstract

A printer device and printhead are disclosed. A printer apparatus comprising: a recording slip conveying block, which holds a recording slip and includes a light emitting element and a first light receiving element; a head block, which prints characters, graphics, etc. on the recording slip, and includes a second light receiving element positioned to face the light emitting element to directly receive light; and a control circuit connected to the light-emitting element, the first light-receiving element, and the second light-receiving element, wherein when the light is detected by the second light-receiving element, the control circuit determines that the recording sheet does not exist in Between the light-emitting element and the second light-receiving element, when light is not detected by the second light-receiving element but is detected by the first light-receiving element, the control circuit judges that the slip exists.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This patent application is based on and claims the benefit of priority from Japanese Patent Application No. 2011-179178 filed on August 18, 2011, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference. technical field [0003] The present invention relates generally to printer devices and printheads. Background technique [0004] For example, printers that issue receipts are widely used in cash registers in stores and in automated teller machines (ATMs) or automatic payment machines (CDs) in banks. When issuing a receipt using an exemplary printer, thermal recording paper may be conveyed as recording paper and printed at a predetermined position on the thermal recording paper by a thermal head. [0005] In order to print characters or the like at predetermined positions on recording paper by a printer, it is preferable to accurately determine the position information of the recording paper. For this reason...
