The 1000 ml of film coating agent comprises the following materials by weight: 48-52 g of PVP-I (povidone iodine stock solution) with the mass percent concentration of 10%, 18-22 g of CMC (Carboxyl Methyl Cellulose), 1-4 g of polyvinylpyrrolidone with the model number of k13-18 and 0.3-0.7 g of potassium iodate. The povidone iodine film coating agent, prepared by the invention, is good in stability, obviously enhanced in antibacterial effect, improved in milk production of the dairy cows and greatly saved in labor and medicine costs, and good in application effect; and the povidone iodine film coating agent is a film coating agent which is special for treating mastitis of dairy cows, low in cost and high in curative effect.
