The multi-window display device comprises multiple input image processing modules used for generating image windows and an output synthesis module used for synthesizing multiple image windows processed by the input image processing modules into an output image. Each input image processing module comprises an input signal acquisition module, an image scaling processing module and a frame synchronization processing module, the input signal acquisition module is used for receiving input image signals and converting the received image signals into digital parallel signals, the image scaling processing unit is used for scaling the size of video signals output by the input signal acquisition unit into resolution required by the image windows, and the frame synchronization processing module is used for determining the positions of the scaled image windows and outputting the image windows to the output synthesis module.
