Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses an output over-voltage protection circuit and a lamp with an over-voltage protection function. The circuit comprises a voltage regulator, a switch and a sampler. The voltage regulator has a voltage regulation end. The absolute value of voltage at the output end of the voltage regulator decreases when the absolute value of voltage at the voltage regulation end decreases. The grounding end of the voltage regulator is connected to a grounding point, the input end of the voltage regulator is used for being connected to a power supply, and the output end of the voltage regulator is used for being connected to a load of the output over-voltage protection circuit. A first end of the switch is connected to the voltage regulation end, a second end of the switch is connected to the grounding point, and a driving end of the switch is connected to the output end of the sampler. The sampler is used for sampling voltage at the output end of the voltage regulator, and outputting a driving signal to cause the switch to be switched on so as to reduce the absolute value of the voltage at the voltage regulation end when the sampled voltage at the output end of the voltage regulator exceeds a voltage limit value. According to the invention, the situation in which output over-voltage causes damage to the load can be avoided.
