The invention discloses a power control method and device. The power control method is suitable for electronic equipment which can emit signals to uplink channels of different types. The power control method comprises the steps of acquiring emission power control signals, determining the channel types of the uplink channels where the electronic equipment are emitting signals, and carrying out back-off operation of different power on the uplink channels according to the channel types. Accordingly, in the power control method and device, when power control is conducted on all the uplink channels, a connecting establishing channel and other uplink channels can be differentiated, so that power back-off is conducted on the connecting establishing channel and the other uplink channels through different modes, and therefore good balance is achieved on the aspect of guaranteeing the health of a user and the aspect of achieving normal communication.
