According to the data flow control method and the device thereof in the video storage system, sample data relevant to the flow control are collected, the prediction model is established, and a flow control target value is obtained through the model, so that the data flow is regulated in a self-adaptive mode, data output efficiency of the video storage system is achieved adequately, external requests can be responded to the maximum extent, and the problems that system operation overloads and resources are insufficient are avoided.
