Abstract

The invention puts forward a research method on the impacts of environmental factors on vehicle-mounted GPS positioning errors. The method comprises the following steps: first removing ineffective floating vehicle data by processing and analyzing large-scale floating vehicle data; subsequently based on road sections which the floating vehicle data belong to, calculating a positioning error value of each data point; then dividing the floating vehicle positioning error values into three grades, based on the grades of the errors, utilizing the Kriging interpolation method to construct an error distribution map, and selecting data points far away from the road sections within deep color areas of the error distribution map as research objects; finally determining the position of each data point selected on an electric map, and with each data point as a center, searching within a range area with a semi-diameter r for geographical factors, and determining the type of the environmental factors based on the searched result. The research result can provide reference basis for increasing the GPS positioning precision of floating vehicles in urban environment.
